Our Typical method of fabrication includes extensive use of a "45 degree lock Joint".  This allows us to attach two pieces together at a 90 degree angle using only the joinery and glue-no nails or fasteners!
Picture
Also standard for us is the almost exclusive use of hardwood panels for the ends and exposed backs of cabinetry and furniture.  Often these are raised panel sets, as pictured.  Applied moldings and lathe turnings complete the almost furniture-like look.

We have perfected the technique of fabricating exotic and domestic hardwood cabinetry and furniture with very few fasteners like nails and screws.  Joinery eliminates any need to fill nail holes in the exposed surfaces of our finished work, making the finished product clean and free of unsightly nail holes and wood filler.

Even our drawers are a work of art.  We build our drawer sides, fronts, and backs of solid hardwood.  Typically, we will cut the key parts of the cabinet job out first and collect all of the material that does not meet grade quality for use on the exterior components.  Those rippings and drop-offs are glued into panels and recut to size to correspond with the drawer pieces needed.  They are then surfaced in a planer to 1/2 inch thickness, sanded and machined.  We use a unique interlocking joinery technique to assemble a sturdy, long lasting drawer.

From the very beginning, it has been our standard practice to make all interior shelving either adjustable in height, or pullout type, as in the base cabinetry pictured.

You will discover that we do not have a particular type of cabinetry that we try to always produce.  As a completely custom shop, our aim is to create your dream project, whatever that may look like.  From sleek and modern, to traditional, to ornate and intricate, we have the expertise and equipment to handle all of your wood working needs.
