Teak is known the world over as the go-to wood for the ship building industry. The oils present in the wood make the finishing process a challenge. It has a rich, medium dark color and fades a bit when exposed to sunlight, but an application of finish can help keep the oxidation from becoming too evident. It is rarely used as any other than an exterior project.
